Watch together, talk together

Each Heartbop Kids episode is short, so there is time to talk afterward. Here is how to get the most from it at home or in class.

At home

  1. Watch together. Sit with your child and enjoy the episode.
  2. Pause and guess. Before the friends fix a problem, pause and ask, “What could they do?”
  3. Ask the 3 questions. Every episode guide has 3 simple questions for afterward.
  4. Use the key line. Say the episode's kind words during the day, like “I’m sorry” or “Can I help?”
  5. Play it out. Act out the story with toys at home to help the idea stick.

In class

  1. Circle time. Play the episode on the class screen as a warm-up.
  2. Act it out. Children take turns playing the friends and saying the key line.
  3. Practice the skill. Count, sort colors or find shapes, just like in the episode.
  4. Talk about feelings. Use the 3 questions to start a short group chat.
  5. Share and play. Finish by playing the episode's game together.

FAQs

Questions parents ask

What age is Heartbop Kids for?

Children aged 3 to 7. The words are simple, the stories are short, and the jokes are gentle.

How long is each episode?

Each episode is a few minutes long, so it fits easily into the day and leaves time to talk afterward.

How much screen time is OK?

That is a choice for each family. Many parents follow advice from their child's doctor or their local health service. We make our episodes short and easy to watch together, so you can stop after one and talk about it.

How is the show made?

We are open about this: we use AI tools to help write, draw, animate and voice the show. A person chooses every story and reviews and approves every episode before it is shared. We check each episode for kindness, safety and simple, correct English.

Is this website safe for my child?

Yes. This website is for grown-ups, but we have built it so it is safe if a child sees it. There are no sign-ups, no comments, no chat, no ads and no tracking. We never collect information from children. Read our privacy policy.

Are there ads in the videos?

Our videos on YouTube are set as “made for kids”. On made-for-kids videos, YouTube turns off comments and personalized ads. YouTube may still show some general ads. There are no ads on this website.

Can I use the episodes in my classroom?

Yes. You can show the episodes from YouTube in class.

Is Heartbop Kids only in English?

Yes, for now. The show uses simple US English, which makes it a gentle way to hear and practice first English words.
