The story

Sana and Bodie’s cushion train waits until all five seats are full. When Bodie honks, Ayo runs in to play… and a shy new friend, Nibs, peeks out from behind the shelf. Going too fast and too loud does not work. Slow and soft does! Your child helps welcome Nibs, then everyone counts to 5 together.

Play it together

Line up five cushions or chairs for a friend train and count the seats together: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5! Then take turns being the shy friend and practice the kind words in a slow, soft voice: “Come and play with us!”
